Final Project
Now that we've finished the novel, you will be working on the Final Project. You make work ALONE or with ONE PARTNER.

to submit your final project
- Project 1 & Project 3 - Must be submitted IN PERSON (unless you are doing collage online, then submit to Turnitin.com)
- Project 2, 4 & 5 - Submit through Turnitin.com
Project 1: Quote Collage
- Create a quote collage representing the entire novel (main characters, major events, etc.)
- Requirements
o Must have a minimum 6 quotes from throughout the novel
o Must have “The Photograph” as a central part of your poster
o Must have a 3-4 sentence explanation for each quote on why that quote was important
Project 2: newspaper
- Create a Newspaper front page representing different aspects of the novel
- Requirements
o Must have 2 “articles” written from a reporters perspective about different stories from within the novel
o Each article must be about 100 words
o Must have a headline & 2 pictures
o Must have an Obituary about at least 1 of the characters
project 3: comic book
- Take a specific chapter from the book and re-write it in comic book form
- Requirements
project 4: Soundtrack
- Create the Soundtrack of Flags of Our Fathers with each song representing something specific about the novel
- Requirements
o Must print at least 1 verse and the chorus of each song
o Must have 3-4 sentences about each song explaining what specifically makes that song relate to parts of the novel
project 5: powerpoint
- Create a PowerPoint describing and reflecting on different chapters throughout Flags of Our Fathers
- Requirements
o The following information must be included:
§ Slide 1 - Title, Author
§ Slide 2 - Main Characters, Setting, Theme (3-4 Sentence explanation)
§ Slide 3-14 – Describe (6) Chapters, (2) Slides per Chapter
· 1st Slide – Chapter Name, 3-4 sentence summary of chapter
· 2nd Slide – Major Quote from Chapter and explanation (3-4 sentences)
§ Slide 15 – Theme – 3-4 sentences explaining what the theme of the Book was with examples
